Dog & Cat Boarding in Sutton, MA
Overnight care your pets will actually enjoy, minutes from Millbury and Worcester. Oversized runs built for big dogs, elite Luxury Suites, a brand-new Cattery, and a staff that's been doing this since 1978.
Room to stretch, designed with large dogs in mind
TLC Pet Haven is unique because our main building was designed around large dogs. Our indoor runs are a generous 14 feet long by 4 feet wide, plenty of room for the biggest breeds or multi-pet families, and some runs split into two 7-foot runs for pets who want to be close but need their own space. One of our buildings has indoor/outdoor runs so your dog can choose where to be, a great option for shy pets.
On nice days, most dogs head outside to individual runs, from 8 feet long for small dogs up to 14 feet for large dogs, each with a platform and water. Our concrete buildings stay naturally cool, our outdoor runs are naturally shaded, and in hot weather daycare and playtime dogs get to splash in kiddie pools. Dogs with heat-sensitive breeds or conditions are kept in air-conditioned space. And smaller or shyer dogs who feel more secure in a cozier, quieter spot are set up accordingly. We always do what's best for each dog, each day.
Want the top of the line? Our six elite Luxury Suites on the second floor sit alongside two indoor arenas, and every Luxury Suite stay includes a daily social hour or playtime.
A Cattery all their own
Cats board in their own separate building, our brand-new Cattery, completely apart from the dogs. It's heated and air-conditioned, and each kitty studio or suite has 2 to 4 levels to climb and lounge on. Many have an attached privacy room, and connecting portholes let cats move between rooms when you book them. Indoor kitty playtime sessions are available too.
What your pet's stay includes
Safe, supervised days
Dogs are never grouped with unfamiliar dogs unless you request daycare or a social hour, and even then every dog is screened and monitored. In bad weather, dogs still get out at least three times a day.
Meals their way
We feed a lamb and rice Purina mixture, or bring your pet's own food, bagged by meal, if they're particular. Special diets and no-treat instructions go right on their chart.
Medications handled
We administer oral and topical medications supplied by you or your vet (most meds $2.00 per administration), with a fresh medication form each stay since dosages change.
Add-on fun
Daycamp days, social hours, and playtimes can be added to any boarding stay so active dogs stay busy and tired in the best way.
Overnight peace of mind
Dogs are tired and quiet at night. The property is monitored by an alarm company, and a tenant lives on-site for emergencies.
Go home fresh
Add a groom during your pet's stay and the last day of boarding is free, regardless of pickup time.
Why a trusted facility beats an empty house
At-home pet sitting sounds cozy, but most sitters visit one to three times a day, which leaves your pet alone for long stretches in between. Here's what boarding at an established facility gives you that a daily drop-in can't:
Care throughout the day
Your pet isn't waiting hours for the next visit. Our staff is on site every day, feeding, exercising, cleaning, and keeping an eye on every pet in our care from morning to night.
Problems get noticed fast
Skipped meals, limping, digestive trouble, or unusual behavior gets spotted by experienced eyes and acted on, with established vet-contact and emergency protocols. At home, a problem between sitter visits can go unnoticed for hours.
Secure by design
Our runs and fencing are built to keep pets safely inside. At home, one slipped leash, spooked bolt through a door, or unlatched gate can turn into a lost pet.
No strangers with your keys
Boarding means nobody needs access to your home while you're away, no key handoffs, no lockbox codes, no worrying about your house along with your pet.
Care that never cancels
A sitter who gets sick or has a car problem can leave your pet stranded. We're a full staff, many of us here for decades, and someone is always here for the animals, every day of the year.
A full day, not an empty house
Outdoor runs, playtimes, social hours, and the general buzz of activity keep dogs engaged and tired in the best way, instead of sleeping through silence and waiting by the door.
That said, we'll always be honest with you: a rare pet with certain medical or temperament needs really is better off at home, and if we think that's your pet, we'll tell you. Our first concern is always what's best for the animal.
